Devendra Fadnavis: Frontrunner for Chief Minister
Devendra Fadnavis, a seasoned leader with two terms as Chief Minister and one as Deputy CM, is widely regarded as the top contender for the position. The BJP, which emerged as the largest party in the alliance, is likely to lead the government, and Fadnavis’s experience and leadership make him the preferred choice.
In ongoing discussions, Shiv Sena’s Eknath Shinde and NCP’s Ajit Pawar have reportedly backed Fadnavis for the Chief Ministerial post. Shinde has expressed his full support for the BJP’s decision, assuring that he will not stand in the way of the alliance’s choice.

A crucial Mahayuti meeting scheduled for Friday was postponed due to Shinde’s visit to Satara district, delaying the announcement of the government structure. The meeting is now expected to take place on Sunday.
